The Peacegiver

If you are looking for a book to read, I recommend "The Peacegiver" By James L. Ferrell. It is a beautiful story that brings the Atonement into your life in a beautiful way. It is an LDS book, but if you are Christian, it is still a wonderful read.

My oldest sister told me I should read it after we found a copy of it while we were cleaning up and packing her house for their move. I made a note of the title and author in my phone and I am so glad I did. I ended up buying a copy at Seagull Book for $12.00, that was a hardcover set, that came with a journal that has quotes from the book. Lucky me!

Here are a few of my favorite quotes.

"Being mistreated is the most important condition of mortality, for eternity itself depends on how we view those who mistreat us."
p.33

"The truth is, we are all, each of us, equally damned without the mercy of the Lord. Eternal life is a gift. I have no cause to feel entitled. I have cause only to feel grateful."
p.99

"It is okay, even wise, to be afraid. You should fear sin with all your soul, for it is the freedom of your soul that is at stake."
p.194
